Self-Awareness
An accurate working model of you.
What they expect
Whether you know how other people experience you. A weakness that is a humblebrag is treated as a tell. A real weakness plus the system you use to manage it is treated as maturity.
A strong signal
You can say the unflattering part without collapsing or performing. Strengths have evidence. Something not on the resume is actually not on the resume.
A weak tell
Perfectionism. Working too hard. “I’m a people person.” A weakness you have already fully solved.
Why this angle exists
Reflection is the raw material of a case method and of coaching. Blind spots become other people’s problem in a team.
Canadian flavour
Sauder debriefs: three qualities colleagues would use — which do you accept, which do you reject. Ivey: what people misunderstand about you. Rotman recorded banks: one good habit and one bad habit.
